Apple introduced iOS 11 at WWDC 2017, the new version of the mobile operating system for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch comes with great new features and a redesign of many elements of its user interface.
In addition to the new features, redesign, and customization, iOS 11 hides some clues about iPhone 8 that tell us what features, capabilities, and hardware the 10th anniversary phone will have.
We already know from rumors that iPhone 8 will have wireless charging, an OLED display with no side bezels, a virtual Home button, and more, but below we’ll talk about the features of iOS 11 that could have a lot to do with the special edition smartphone.
Interface – OLED display without bezels
One of the things that will catch your eye in iOS 11 is that the user interface elements are more rounded . This could mean that Apple is looking for a different style to match the edges of the iPhone 8 screen. In addition, some buttons such as those in the Control Center or Calculator are also darker , taking advantage of the quality of the AMOLED technology on the screen.
Augmented Reality – Cameras
Apple put a lot of effort into the WWDC to showcase the augmented reality features. Now developers will be able to use the ARKit platform to deliver augmented reality experiences in their applications. This indicates that iPhone 8 will have 3D sensors in its cameras . We also know that the hardware of the new terminal’s cameras will be significantly improved , because Apple announced that the new photo and video formats will allow users to save up to 50% of storage space on their devices. If the quality of the camera improves, so does the image compression.
New image formats, user interface changes, unique features… Many aspects of iOS 11 seem to be preparing for the introduction of iPhone 8 into the smartphone market. What else would you attribute to the special edition iPhone in iOS 11?
