This folding iPhone concept is simply impressive

The current panorama of folding mobiles , with Samsung, Motorola and Huawei, the main representatives, is not convincing. In fact, a recent survey among American consumers showed that only 2% would purchase a mobile phone with these features, with price and durability being the main characteristics to be considered.

But as with all new technologies, and despite Apple’s silence regarding a folding model, fans of the firm fantasize about the possibility of the company launching its own version and do not hesitate to propose their own concepts . Previously, we have seen really interesting concepts like the one presented a few days ago by TechMorning’s graphic designer, who shared on his YouTube channel his proposal for an iPhone with a flexible 180-degree screen.

Now, it has been the designer and technology fanatic Iskander Utebayev , who has presented his proposal for a folding iPhone. This conceptual device, shown in a video published from his Instagram account, is first shown in its folded form whose dimensions reach the palm of the hand that holds it. A small touch screen can also be seen on the front.

Then, a simple slide of the thumb causes the iPhone to automatically unfold, revealing a second, larger screen inside. In his publication Utebayev has decided to name this concept as his “vision of the iPhone 12 Flip” and in some later comments the designer seems convinced that a flexible mobile will be seen from Apple later this year.

Many technology giants are working on folding mobiles at the moment and although Apple has already filed patents with flexible screen designs, it seems too early to see them materialize this year, especially considering external setbacks such as the coronavirus crisis and its effect on the company’s production line.
