Temple Run 2, 50 million record-breaking downloads in just two weeks

Temple Run 2 breaks records , in just two weeks since its release it has already achieved 50 million downloads (between iOS and Android versions). That’s more than Angry Birds Star Wars which took 35 days to reach the same number. We could associate the success to the great acceptance that had its previous delivery that has achieved 170 million downloads since then. But without a doubt, the success is the new free to play format under which it was launched.

As you know the free to play titles are free but include the option to make purchases through the application itself to get objects and help to advance through the levels if needed. This is a method that many developers have adopted, such as The Respawnables, in order to reach a wider audience. And it seems to work.
