We live in a time when if you haven’t published it on social networks, you haven’t lived it . Instagram has enhanced this theory with its temporary stories, in which users publish photographs and videos that disappear after 24 hours. All kinds of content can be found in the stories , and Netflix wants to take advantage of this social networking feature.
Every time Netflix, the world’s most popular streaming video platform, publishes a new series or movie, social networks comment on it ad nauseam, especially on Twitter. That’s why it wants to expand its influence and make room for its own productions, for example on Instagram. The solution has been simple: give his users the option to share what they are seeing in the stories on the Facebook social network.
According to the guys at AddictiveTips, publishing a story with the Netflix series or movie you’re watching is very easy. The first step is to have the latest version of the application installed on your smartphone. Once you have chosen what you are going to watch, press the “share” button and a list of supported services will appear . One of them will be “Instagram Stories”.
On iOS devices you will be redirected to the Instagram app to view the post, but this may not be the case on Android devices. It seems that the behaviour of this function varies depending on the version of the operating system you are using.
Instagram will create a story for the film or series you have decided on. Before publishing it you will have the option to edit it with the tools offered by the social network , just like any other story.
If you have the latest version of Netflix installed and you don’t see the Don’t Worry option it seems to be reaching the users in a staggered way . Wait a few days and I’m sure it will appear.
