At the time of writing this “how to” it was not possible to make gifts from the iPhone or iPad App Store, but it seems that Apple has reconsidered and the possibility of sending gifts from our mobile devices has been available again, something that is certainly very grateful to many people.

Give App Store apps from your iPhone or iPad

Sending an App Store app as a gift from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is really easy. Here’s how:

• Access the App Store through the iPhone or iPad app.
• Search for the application you want to give away, either through the search engine or from the different categories or download tops.
• Click on the share button in the upper right corner.
• Click on the option Gift.
• In the new window, we must fill in all the data, paying special attention to the e-mail address of the person who will receive it.
• At the bottom of the window we can choose if the gift will be delivered the day we fill in the form or we can make “the delivery” take place on another day, a very interesting section.
• Once the form has been filled in, click on the following button in the upper right-hand corner.
• Choose the design that will have the notice of the gift among the different options available.
• Check the data and if everything is correct confirm the purchase by clicking on the Buy Gift button in the upper right corner.
• The gift will be sent at the same time or on the selected date and you will be able to download the application completely free of charge (of course you will also receive the updates that the developer will publish).
