Final Cut Express 4
Apple today announced the release of Final Cut Express 4, an update to its video editing software based on Final Cut Pro 6 . Final Cut Express 4 includes support for working with AVCHD as well (tixag_12 only) Mac with Intel processor ), allows mixing of standard definition and high definition content in the same timeline, has the ability to import projects from iMovie ’08 , etc.
The new Open Format Timeline from Final Cut Express 4 allows users to mix and sync material on DV , HDV and AVCHD , and all in real time using the same cutting and editing tools offered by Final Cut Pro . Final Cut Express 4 supports both resolutions HD 1080i and 720p and automatically makes the necessary scaling, cropping, and frame rate adjustments.
Over 50 new filters are included FxPlug , including Soft Focus, Vignette and Light Rays, and is open to additional new filters created by the developers. It also features improved, distortion-free audio controls. Final Cut Express 4 also features LiveType 2 which provides an intuitive environment for creating animated titles, and includes an extensive library of animated fonts, textures, templates and effects.
Final Cut Express 4 will be available in the next few days for 199 euros. Upgrading from previous versions will cost 99 euros. The system requirements are available here.
