Evad3rs says iOS 7 jailbreak is progressing positively

The jailbreak for iOS 7 is on track. The Evad3rs team that developed the Evasi0n jailbreak for iOS 6 is ahead of the Open Jailbreak team and they have already been able to run foreign code on the new Apple operating system, so they just need to find a stable exploit and make a new version of the jailbreak available to all users.

After all the trouble it took for the jailbreak to reach iOS 6, it looks like it will finally reach the new iOS 7 much faster. Having two teams with parallel developments , it seems that the Evad3rs team is advancing faster than the Open Jailbreak team.

Remember that Evad3rs developed the jailbreak Evasi0n, which is the one that allowed us to run Cydia on our iDevices with iOS 6. So, the hacker PlanetBeing said that the team behind Evasi0n was starting to look into iOS 7 to see the methods of attack and access to the root mode. But it seems that do not want to waste time .

So, today in a new tweet , PlanetBeing said that have already managed to run code userland using some of the resources the team had in reserve. They are now looking to find a exploit that will work on iOS 7.

They seem to be on the right track and it will only be a matter of time before the jailbreak is ready. Now the only thing left to do is to update the applications , and the first one to do so is Cydia. We have known for some time that Activator has already been run.

We also know that it will be quite complicated to run WinterBoard on iOS 7, so customizing Cupertino’s new operating system will not be as easy as it used to be. The application has to be completely rewritten and everything changed , as it has changed little since iPhone OS 1, “thanks” to the fact that the iOS interface has not received any major changes.

Let’s hope that the jailbreak to iOS 7 comes sooner rather than later, because there are many of us who prefer iOS 6 totally to our taste rather than iOS 7 locked into what Apple says.
