A classic is when editing a document .
Many still have in mind the operation of a computer, in which to edit a document, we put a pendrive and open the file, we save it again in the pendrive , and so on. However, unlike many tablets with Android, the iPad doesn’t have a USB port or file browser so we can upload documents to it.
We will now tell you which are the best applications for editing documents on the iPad and how you can load one of these onto your computer.

So, when we load the document, the iPad will automatically upload it to iCloud and when we want to continue editing it on the Mac we can do so. In case we have Windows, iCloud will only serve to have a backup. If we load the document on the Mac through Pages or Keynote, it will also be uploaded to iCloud and when we open it on the iPad it will appear automatically.
However, there will be people who do not have a Mac and will need to upload the document through iTunes. If you don’t have it, download it from the Apple website. Once in iTunes, we’ll go to the Applications tab in our iPad. There we will get the list of applications and a window where we can load the files by dragging them from Windows Explorer or Finder , as shown in the image:
Once the documents are loaded we go to Pages or Keynote on our iPad and do the following:
- We press + in the upper left corner.
- Now a window opens where we can choose all the documents we have uploaded and are available to be opened. Once selected, it will open in Pages and we will be able to edit it completely: text format, images, add new elements, etc.
Remember that the method of loading via iTunes is not only limited to Apple applications, but most of these support it, so we will have to load them via USB and open the documents from the application itself .
As we can see, using the Apple suite, although it is not free, gives us the greatest advantages when it comes to editing a document, which also integrates perfectly with the computer and makes an automatic backup in the cloud . As if this wasn’t enough, we have the most complete and high quality applications to carry out this task.
