Changing WhatsApp’s Font Size on the iPhone
The size of the font that appears on our devices is something very personal, either by necessity or by taste, we may want to have the font of the iPhone bigger or smaller. WhatsApp is probably the application that we use the most and where the differences in font size are most noticeable when reading messages sent to us.
In iOS, the font size is not changed in each application, there is a general adjustment that will make the font appear in all message or social network applications in the size we want. In WhatsApp for Android there is a specific setting within WhatsApp’s configuration to change the font size, however in iOS this setting is available in the operating system itself, so within WhatsApp you will not see any option to change the text size .
Applications in iOS are all in sync with the system and support what Apple calls “Dynamic Font Size. This means that by changing the system text size and zooming in or out, you would also be able to do so in numerous apps such as Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Phone, Notes and also with WhatsApp .
To change the font size that appears in the WhatsApp chats you should follow these steps:
- On your iPhone, open the Settings application.
- Now go down to the Display and Brightness section.
- Below you will see an option called Text size, enter it.
- There are 7 different options, adjust the size to your liking by sliding it sideways.
If even increasing the maximum font size still needs to be larger, Apple includes an extra setting to make the font look better. To activate this new setting you must go to Settings> Accessibility> Display and Text Size, if you then click on Larger Sizes more size options will appear to increase the font size as much as you need.
