However, the truth is that they had everything against them, because even they put “stones” in the way when they extended the life of some models by upgrading them to iOS 12 . Although, of course, this did not stop them at any time.
They began to lower the price of their phones in some of the major markets, offered juicy discounts for recycling old phones, and worked to make the change as appealing as possible. What many didn’t know is that they have gone far beyond simple offers. Their strategies have gone so far as to turn their technicians into salesmen who tried to sell the new phones to users asking for a repair for an iPhone without warranty.
Thus, the company made sure that all employees made such recommendations, presumably from the Genius Bar and authorized services, controlling this aspect from the sales department. This information was made public in a recent report by Mark Gurman for Bloomberg along with other tactics that Apple has been using to stimulate sales after recognizing that consumers are finding it increasingly difficult to change their device.
