A new report from Bloomberg points out that Apple and United Airlines are in talks for a possible upgrade of the terminus l at San Francisco International Airport. The reason? Apple reserves about 50 seats a day for United Airlinbes for its employees who must make various trips to Shanghai and other parts of the world.
According to Bloomberg, talks to renovate the San Francisco airport terminal are still in early stages . When asked about further details, a United Airlines manager deliberately declined to respond. As Apple is one of United Airlines’ main customers, it would make sense to see an investment in the United Airlines terminal at San Francisco airport. But it’s still curious.
Last year, Apple reserved about 50 seats in business class for its employees , every day. Those 50 seats are necessary because of the large volume of Apple employees who travel daily between the United States and China. Apple also sends employees to numerous other countries where it has supply chain infrastructure, business partners and other logistics operations.
At AppleUnited Airlines he asked his employees to be “nice” to Apple’s employees in order to keep his business
In fact, United Airlines revealed that Apple spent around $150 million a year for flights with United Airlines. For its part, United Airlines bought about 100,000 Apple devices for its employees.
